Concentration Number One

It's a bit busy for my taste. For my next piece I'm hoping to make it simpler. Also, I've realized I am incapable of drawing Eiffel towers at 2 am when I'm trying to get my concentration piece done, so hopefully ill be able to find a way to incorporate the structure somewhere in my second or third piece.

Concentration #2

Work in progress 2. She's bald because to be honest, I'm a bit scared to start the hair. I'm terrible at hair.

Mixed Media Assemblages by Kris Kuksi

Looking at this art, I don't really understand it. That's why I think I'm drawn to it. All of the individual pieces put together are all different, yet somehow Kris is able to achieve a sort of balance and symmetry on not just one axis, but a balance over the whole entire piece. The sheer amount of intricate detail in these pieces are breathtaking and astounding.

Artist Carne Griffiths

Carne Griffiths is an artist from Liverpool. He graduated from the Kent Institute of Art and Design and has had his works featured in a variety of fields such as the military, art, drama, fashion, and advertising industries. What I found most compelling about these pieces is the fact that the media used to create the pieces are not typical. Carne Griffiths uses a variety of not only inks and graphites, but also mixes in different liquids such as vodka, tea, and brandy, to create his art. I love the fluid movements and soft looks that his pieces have. The delicate lines and layering of colors are also very fascinating.
